However, Plex’s tvOS profile is not fully optimized for the Apple TV 4K. Now, many media types play directly in Plex, eliminating the interim step of transcoding those videos. And, we run the Plex client on Apple TV 4K settop boxes. We run the Plex media server on Synology NAS devices.
